John Dodelande
John Dodelande is a European tech-art entrepreneur, author, and real-estate investor. A French citizen, he is active in the republic of Georgia, where he is presently engaged in two major infrastructure projects. One is a major development of the environs of Tbilisi airport, aimed at capitalising on the predicted rise of tourism and other forms of incoming travel. The other is a planned ski resort in the Caucasus mountains, one of the world's most enticing but least known destinations.
Dodelande is an avid collector of contemporary Chinese art, and he uses his collection to attract well-deserved recognition for the young generation of Chinese artists. He has lent works to numerous museums, and was the first collector ever to arrange a contemporary Chinese art exhibit in Georgia. He is convinced that the universality of art is one means to forge 'a new Silk Road', a meaningful web of commercial and cultural connections between East and West.
John's latest tech venture, based on cutting-edge 3D imaging, bridges the divide between art and technology. He aims to use sophisticated tech, developed originally for high-grade restoration and conservation, as a means to bring our global cultural heritage within reach of an altogether broader public, to make world art accessible to enthusiasts everywhere.
